I have been looking for years and kind of assumed it just wasn't available. This is a thick acrylic slab of the periodic table that lays out all the information you'd be used to. Great. What makes it SO much better is that each block HAS THE ACTUAL ELEMENT IN IT. There are some that don't due to radioactivity (I don't particularly want any uranium on my mantle), but aside from that some 86 of the elements are accurately represented. Firstly, the whole thing is a work of art. The writing is clearly visible and the stand is sturdy. I looked through a few of the elements (of course I started with gold) with a small microscope and everything seems to check out. Since the acrylic is crystal clear you can really zoom in and get a good focus on the elements themselves. Great educational resource, definitely brings the concept of the periodic table home FAR better than just a poster or something. If you want a stunning display piece, have a little scientist running around, or want to gift someone something they'll cherish, this is a great way to go. ONE OF THE COOLEST THINGS I'VE EVER SEEN. Couldn't be more highly recommended.......

My 6yo was really excited about this and he brought it to school the very first morning he had it. He sits with it at the breakfast table and discusses the elements each morning. The elements inside are interesting to look at and make for a cool conversation starter. The acrylic is clear and the wooden stand feels sturdy enough. Some elements are more symbolic than actual samples, but that’s expected. Overall, it’s a solid gift for someone into chemistry.

I got this for my kids. I wanted to supplement some of the science that they are learning. Being able to physically see most of the elements is pretty neat. They are encased in between a thick layer of clear acrylic. For obvious reasons, they do not include any of the radioactive elements (they just print a radioactive symbol in its place. Im not 100% sure if the “gas” elements are actually there, the void where it would be included is just an open space. Overall, this is a really cool plaque.

I've wanted one of these for FOREVER and it is every bit as awesome as I'd ever hoped! Definitely check the size, because it's smaller, perhaps the size of a DVD case, perfect for display on a desk. The text is also pretty tiny but still readable. It's nicely packaged and great quality and would make a great gift... Not that I'm giving it up though!Very educational and interesting and a conversation-starter, I love it!

I wanted to introduce my 10 years old to the periodic table and am so glad to have found this tablet. It is a little smaller than I would have liked. My son is mesmerized seeing all the actually material incased inside the tablet. Seeing the actual element makes it much more real and easier to remember. This is such a great tool to have. I highly recommend this when teaching children about the elements and explaining the basics of chemistry.

Pretty neat item. It's hard to read, in my opinion. The font is SO small and it didn't come with a magnifying glass. It went over my head when I ordered it, that the picture shows a magnifying glass because you actually need one. It should come with it considering it's in the picture and actually needed. I wish it was quite a bit larger.

I have actually wanted one of these for a while, and usually they're pretty expensive. Part of that reason is the included elements and size i'm sure, but for the price, im extremely happy with this one. The size is about 5 inches by 4 inches and sits on the desk looking all fun and shiny. The acrylic layer is very clear and is shipped with protective plastic over each face of it to protect during shipment. Upon peeling it off it was perfectly clear. They also include a little cloth to clean any fingerprints you might put on it. The elements themselves are shiny and can be seen pretty clearly. If you want something for a classroom, or something more visible you might want to get a bigger version, but just for fun, or something to display on your desk, this is perfect!!!!

This is such a cool thing. The pieces are very tiny, and the gasses are just little spots where they blew air into the mold so it's pretty unlikely they're the actual gas, but that's fine. It supposedly even has some uranium in it; I checked it with my geiger counter to be safe and didn't get anything (it is trapped in glass of course), but I have yet to test it with my UV light; it could be real. I don't believe it's unsafe at such a small size, especially when encased in glass. This is a really cool thing to have if you love science, or a great gift for the science lover. It's a good teaching tool, too. My only wish is that it was a big larger; the text is pretty small so if you have trouble reading small words, you might struggle to read it without a magnifying glass.
