Flag OK with Stiffeners but 'pole' not suited for flag.. The pole triangular 'hooks' for flag are not sufficiently spaced for the flag to be 100% displayed.. Lower triangular 'hook' needs to be larger to fit on larger diameter collapsing pole sections. Marginal at best,, maybe avoid??? More thought needed in product design And use.

This isaa nice flag that can be mounted in several different places on my boat. This flag will keep me compliant when scollop season hits in a couplemonths.

Was a great flag for the price and arrived quickly. Unfortunately I took it down and didn’t have it secured properly and lost it in the channel on the way back in. Will be ordering another one.

Right out of the box I really wanted to like this dive flag set up. It is listed as being made of Aluminum and Polyester. Not all parts are aluminum... The dive flag is good quality and legal size (in Florida), but since none of this is Stainless Steel, it won't last long in a marine environment. Probably the best feature is the clamp mount which will fit almost any rail size or shape. This is exactly what I need for my RIB. I would have paid $75 or more if everything was 316 SS and given it 5+ Stars. For under $20, it is a good deal for fresh water use, but I'll replace it as necessary and try to keep it waxed or protected for my marine use.

I’m in the process of rebuilding my scuba diving kit and needed a new dive flag that I could clamp onto a kayak or float. This one seems to be a rigid, well-constructed option. The flag itself has a cross pole to keep it fully extended, even when there’s no wind — which is ideal when you’re underwater and relying on surface visibility. I’m excited to get back out there and start diving with it!

The flag is pretty well made and is stitched together, not printed. It is also the correct size to be legal. The problem is the hardware. None of it is made for a salt water environment. This set would be okay if you are kayak diving in a spring or lake, but it will not last in salt water.

This is an ideal flag for a dive kit. It's not a set-up I would use regularly on a professional dive boat because, even though it is well-made, it is not long-term weather-resistant. It folds up to a nice compact packet. The flagpole is extendable and light-duty. It extends and retracts smoothly and stays extended once positioned. The mounting clamp will fit on most boat rails. It has good non-slip grip so it stays in place once set. The stiff rods to hold out the flag fit together well and are easy to assemble and disassemble. The flag is a good quality material and clearly visible from a distance. It does not come with any instructions, but if you have assembled a dive flag before, it will all make sense.

I picked this up to use on my kayak project, some days I would rather be in the drink than pulling stuff out of the drink. This set includes a 20x24 inch flag (if you stretch it taut, literally it is right at the bleeding edge of the measurements), a 10.5 inch to 47.5" flagpole (measured from the bottom of the bracket, not including screw) to tip of pole (measurement does not include clamp base), some clips (my kit had 3), and the 2 slidey thingies to attach clips to on the flagpole. The good:1) Size is accurate on flag (exceeds my state's requirements, just barely meets requirements for USA). Maybe add 1/4 - 1/2" to next version.2) Flagpole works as intended and is close enough to the measurements, just place it so that the flag itself clears all obstructions by the largest height differential possible, and is visible from all angles.3) The rail attachment bracket action is very smooth.4) The flagpole base to rail attachment bracket threading (male and female) is a perfect fit with chased threads.5) Shock corded flag stiffener.6) Can insert stiffener from enter of flag and then pop it together, or pop it together and shove it into pocket via velcro access hole. The iffy:1) The flag is straight from the machine or person making them with no finishing. What I mean by this is, the circles that the grommets cut through are still in the grommets, the threads are cut and hanging loose at every sewed area.2) No storage bag except the plastic bag that the flag and stiffener come in3) Not even minor adjustments for flag pole angle. The only way for this to be straight up and down is if you either have a square tube that is level with the boat and horizontal, or a round tube that is level from bow to stern.4) the second slidey thing does not line up at all with the provided flag, you will either need to stretch it a bit or just put the bottom flag clip on the flagpole itself. The bad:1) The provided clips to clip the flag to the pole are not even close to marine rated. Maybe freshwater, and maybe if you dry them off immediately.2) As the clips aren't marine rated, I doubt the rest of the hardware is either. In the end, if you have a flagpole on your rig, there are better options. If you do not, you can not put a kit like this together for cheaper than the price it is offered at.For me, it will serve it's purpose well, i just need to sew up a bag or roll for storing it so the parts don't separate in my dry bag.Recommendations to the manufacturer:1) finish the flag, i shouldn't have to use a lighter to clean up loose threads2) switch out the spring clips with small carabiners or similar3) include even the worst bag you can think of, something to stow it all in4) maybe offer a kayak / canoe / etc version with a swivel bracket5) raise the price five to ten bux if you incorporate the changes
