I always know my spare regulator is in place cos I can feel it under my neck.Comforting to know that it is always there in an emergency. Was leading a group of divers once and a random diver (not in my group) came up to me and ripped my primary regulator out of my mouth.Dude was out of air and panicking. Given this is practiced all the time (I am an OWSI), I reached for my secondary regulator and immediately started the ascent.Post mortem revealed the guy wasn’t paying attention to his air consumption and literally ran out of air.I bought 3 extra for my kids. Highly recommend.

I was looking for another way to tie off my necklace reg and saw this. I was thinking it wouldn't work or probably slip out with all the movement and equipment. I used this for several dives over the past few weekends and it's held up well! I was diving in springs, lakes, and the ocean, all tech dives, and no issues at all. I'll probably pick up an extra as a backup.

This 100% works, & keeps my backup Reg right under my chin/mouth.I love it!I donate my primary Reg on an underarm long-hose to the out of air buddy because I know it's functioning. I then just raise my backup Reg straight to my mouth with zero drama. But if the backup Reg fails to work for me, we just have to share the primary on the way up because swapping spit is better than drowning!*Disclaimer* This is how I set MY stuff up!If you or your friends have a better way, then you should Definitely do that. In the end YOU have to be comfortable with your gear, not me.

This is a good necklace. I've used others and the regulator frequently falls out of the loop. This one holds the reg tight and doesn't slip off.
