The build quality of this flashlight is great. The case feels very solid, and all the threads are smooth and clean. The double o-ring seal is also nice for keeping it dry. You can lubricate them with silicon grease or petroleum jelly to help them last longer, and it includes an extra set of o-rings for when the original set wear out. There is also a small clip included that holds the flashlight and can be clipped onto something for hands-free mounting. I haven't had a reason to use the clip yet, but it's a nice addition.For it's size, it does put out a lot of light. I've only used it with an AA battery so far.. and it sounds like the main difference between using an AA or a 14500 is just runtime, not brightness. The light beam is not adjustable.. and as far as I can tell only has one brightness setting, but I knew these things when I ordered it, so I'm not lowering the rating for that.My only complaint is that having a rotary switch (you rotate the head closed to turn it on, and open a little to turn it off), it is quite hard to operate one handed. I understand that this type of switch makes it easier to seal the light up against water getting in, but it does make it a little cumbersome if you are trying to use it while working on or trying to hold something else.All in all, it is a well constructed light, and works as expected. I been using it occasionally for a couple weeks (probably a few minutes at a time, every other day), and the AA battery I put in it when I got it seems to be holding up well. Based on the good quality and brightness, it seems like a decent value.
