What a cool little light machine! I got this because my young grandchildren absolutely LOVE to dance and I thought they would really like these lights and lasers which can go/move with the music. To be perfectly honest I didn't even really read the instruction page I just gave it a cursory glance for any warnings or cautions, pugged it in, put two triple A batteries (not provided) into the remote and we were off to the races! I didn't mess with any of the buttons on the back of the box I just started pushing buttons on the remote and when I got to the one where the most lights and lasers were doing their thing I just held the box and let all the kids dance like crazy. They had a great time and I had just as good a time watching them have so much fun. Gotta say though, this machine is a little pricey, but for the amount of fun everybody had, in my book it is worth the price. I'll give an update to this review if we run into any glitches or problems with this over time, but as for now this is definitely 5 STARS!!!

This light is a combination of 4 lasers (2 red, 2 green) and a disco-style prism light that work together to cast a dynamic light show. The unit is fairly compact and light weight, with DMX512 control options if you’ve got a professional board, a basic remote that lets you easily access basic modes when it’s mounted and out of reach (it includes a basic mounting bracket that allows you to hang the unit), and a menu control panel on the back that gives you much more granular control over the settings. The included instructions are very rudimentary, but enough to aim you in the right direction.The mic on the back lets the light react to the beat of the music, and on testing with Rock Band, it does a pretty great job (and makes it feel like a proper rock show), providing a constant stream of new effects and colors pulsing to the rhythm. It’s a huge step up from the small consumer lights I’ve used in the past, and really brings a room alive.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I love DJ/party lights. Professionally I use them in my classroom to demonstrate the Tyndall effect (I teach highschool science). At home I use them to liven up spaces and add some fun visuals to go with music. This one is a really fun one with some great options. There are four lasers with pattern and rotational overlays and a nice led light that is somewhere between a moonflower and a discoball. That LED casts multicolor, almost cube like shapes everywhere. It really does a great job filling an entire room. I tested it in a room that is 10' wide and 22 feet long with zero issues filling up the room with this fun light. The included remote enabled quick access to preprogrammed features including 5 automatic patterns and 3 music reactivity modes. You can also set the LED, Laser, or flash settings from the remote and turn the light on an off. The music modes seem to be largely about sensitivity for the built in mic with mode 1 being the least sensitive and mode 3 being the most sensitive. This also has network style connections on the back for controlling the unit and includes an adapter to use conventional DMX controls (professional light board standard). There is also a pretty standard hanging bracket with two adjustment screws that can be installed easily. Overall it is a really fun light that is a lot more dynamic than I expected and quite nice in terms of brightness and effect.
