If you have an entry level bike with just a spring, this shock is the most cost effective upgrade for the rear suspension you can probably find. The most important aspect for you to take in to account will be eyelet to eyelet distance. Measure the one you have in your bike first. Then match it accordingly to one of the sizes they have available to choose from here. Most of the entry level bikes will use the smaller size.I have and continue to own bikes with high end suspension. They are indeed very good. But there is a diminishing point of return. With the DNM shock, you get the majority of the performance of a high end shock for a fraction of the price. In terms of cost to performance, this is actually superior. It transformed my low end dual sus bike closer to one that cost 6x as much.
