These are marketed as better than OEM. This is not true. Since 1998 I have run the Fleetguard Stratopore/Rotella oil and filter combo for well over 1 million miles between 3 different generations of Cummins diesels. This is no improvement nor is it the least bit "better". The tried and true OEM Fleetguard LF16035 or it's more expensive Mopar equivalent are of more consistent quality. On the Doc's filter the gasket is loose and just sits on top of the filter. Ok, I'll just be careful with installing it. Second, the filter socket that I have been using for 17 years that fits the scalloped bottom of Fleetguard or Mopar filters surprisingly does not fit the Doc's filter. So do I want to buy a new filter tool just to fit the sketchy Doc's filter? Hell no I don't. The whole shebang went directly into the trash and I installed a Fleetguard LF16035 and finished the oil change without worrying about Doc's clever marketing ever again. There is no value in trying these filters, and they can forget about ever selling me a fuel filter either.

I was a firm believer in buying nothing but MOPAR parts for my Cummins until I started seeing all the stuff about the fakes. Switched to Docs 3 oil changes ago and have been using their stuff ever since. Consistent quality and everything I’ve gotten from them so far has been great.Make the switch!
