We have a very nervous medium size goldendoolde and she would gewt anxouis and was starting to attack our mail people and she just wasnt happy. And so we ordered this and as soon as we put it on her she started acted like her old self again! And it even keep sher warm when its cold but not too warm to where she cant wear it if its warmer outside! Its lightweight and overall works great!

I like this when it's either raining a bit outside or I don't feel like messing with the other harness. It's got a hook on the top which is great because some dogs don't like the clips on the side. Word to the wise, if your dog is a lunger when they see other dogs it may pop the neck part off which has happened to me but I still like to have this item. Good for quick walks when you just need to get the pup out, or early-morning-half-asleep walks. Wrap, hook, and out.

Thinner than some but sizing is forgiving as there is a lot of Velcro. Not expensive if you can quiet a fretting dog…. We live on a lake where a lot of “citizens” are generous with fireworks long into the night many days past the 2 major fireworks holidays. They don’t care that some of us work tomorrow. They don’t care if those of us who produce need to be up early tomorrow. Couple that with a shaking dog that can’t sleep. I appreciate his product and obviously bought 3. It was that or a sniper rifle and night scope! This was cheaper and probably a better direction.

My dog was a 'bait dog' for the first 2 or 3 years of his life, caged in a trailer with 45 other bait dogs, barely fed and watered, 9 pounds when rescued in TX, 12 pounds when I adopted him, is now 25 pounds! He is good with women and kids, but very skittish around men, took me over 2 years to gain some trust. He is startled by nearly everything, fearful of loud noise, and will hide from me for hours if I yell at him, so I just don't ever yell at him. Very well housebroken, but a runner off the leash. Fireworks or thunder drive him under the bed for hours, nothing helps. Doesn't really care to be touched.

I have been wanting to buy a Thundershirt for my dog for some time now to see if it would help her with her severe storm anxiety. It's only a slight exaggeration to say she begins freaking out when it rains in a state that borders ours. By the time that storm arrives in our state, it's an ugly scene with non-stop panting, crazy shivering of her whole body, and this whining/squeaking sound that I cannot describe - but can say it gives me a strong craving for Xanax after two minutes. During the slightest rain event we both become anxious, stressed ladies who just wish we could be at the beach. The actual Thundershirt is quite expensive for someone on my budget and I've felt guilty more than once that I couldn't afford it to see if it would help my girl, Biscuit, even just a tiny bit. Then two nights ago I came across this anxiety reducing vest with reviews that were mostly positive and with the price coming in about 1/3 of the name brand shirt... Well, I had no excuse not to at least try it. For Biscuit's sake and my continued life this on side of sanity. The shirt arrived the very next day and that was perfect because severe weather was forecast for that evening. I took it out of the box (which was free of burdensome items such as instructions, do's and don'ts or hints on proper use of the vest) and promptly put it on Biscuit taking care to get it tight enough but not too tight. I must have succeeded because I kid you not, the results were instantaneous. She quit panting at once and her eyes which had been bulging half out of her head were immediately changed into heavy-lidded windows into her relaxed and calm soul. It really was a miracle. She turned into a fearless, laidback, and carefree agent of calm who was able to enjoy the thunder & lightening and the wind & rain while lying on the couch and displaying absolutely zero symptoms of her extreme fear of inclement weather. She did begin to shiver very sightly after one extra loud thunder but it lasted only about one minute and was gone. She went into a relaxed asleep and didn't wake up until the next morning. This was huge because her little fits of extreme terror were very upsetting for her and for our whole family who hated to see her so afraid and who were also frustrated with being unable to calm her, even with prescribed medication. REVIEW SUMMARY: This vest truly performed like it says it should for my 5lb., always somewhat nervous ratchi, keeping her calm and unafraid during a night of severe weather. It did what medication and tons of mollycoddling and extra loving could not do by allowing Biscuit to nap, snack and be a happy girl during storms that usually turned her into a whining, panting, shaking pile of terrified fur. Highly recommend this item as it restored peace to my dog, my family and our home; and as a bonus it was 1/3 the price of the name brand anxiety shirt and is well-made, attractive and fits well using the size chart provided by the manufacturer. A great value and a valuable purchase, highly recommended by both Biscuit and by me.

The product came as described but did not help my dog with anxiety- it may help other fellow pups

Unfortunately, this didn't work for my dog. It seems warm and water resistant. Overall I'd say the sizing was accurate. However, since it needs to be worn snug in order to provide a comforting pressure, I noticed that my dog will not sit or lay down while wearing it. I get the impression that she feels like she's wearing a corset. This meant that she had no choice but to continue pacing or standing. If it had an elastic panel, it might allow for a comfortable "hug" while still providing breathing room. I don't know if other brands are the same way or not. We'll keep looking.

I ordered three of these for my Vizslas. They wore them three nights in a row. There was about 70 percent less barking and trembling with these jackets. I ordered the XL because Vizslas have large barrel chests and long bodies. These fit the length well but were actually quite large around the abdominal area, but worked just find since they are velcro. Just a little extra material left on the end.
