This does not hold my buttons in place. My dog is only 14 pounds and can easily push the button off the mat.

Exactly as described. Seems like it will be very durable. We bought 2 of the mats for our dog buttons and will be giving them to the dogs for Christmas :)

This mat looks very nice. I wanted it to work out. However, the buttons actually moved around and slipped more than when they were sitting directly on my hardwood floors. And then the mat would move around when my dog would press the bottoms also. It needs a better nonstick surface on both the bottom and the top to be effective.

… specially if they get excited about pressing the buttons. I’d like to try the buttons that stay in the sturdier bases so they don’t fold up and slide around and come unattached.

This is made out of the very strong (you will need strength with a learning dog because they will often scratch aggressively at the buttons or mat) wetsuit material. I do suggest purchasing Velcro dots from the sewing section on here since you can get many more dots for a much lower price than ones with brand names.

I was impressed at how quickly our dog caught on (within 1-2 weeks). You'll need a mat to attach the buttons to or else they slide around.
