I got a size medium for my Weimaraner German Shepherd mix and also tested it on my wild Doberman, both of which fit well under size medium. The fit was great after minor adjustments. It will obviously be uncomfortable and unwanted for dogs not used to muzzles. My dogs themselves aren't used to them, so it wasn't surprising to watch them try to remove it immediately. As mentioned, this is meant for my Weimaraner German Shepherd mix. He can be dog reactive around unknown dogs when anxious. He hated it and tried to calmly remove it without success. I received the look of betrayal, which was quickly forgotten after a treat. I decided to really put it to the test with my Doberman. To give you an idea of my thought process with this: my Weimaraner German Shepherd mix is like a horse who's tamed for the most part, he just spooks easily, while my Doberman is the bull the bull riders try to ride for as long as possible. My Doberman started going crazy the moment the muzzle went over his mouth, so getting it clipped itself was a strength workout for me. He went crazy with it on, trying to remove it in any way possible. It stayed on the whole time. So, I'm confident to say that it's well-made. It's easy to put on and take off when your dog isn't losing its mind. Now, let me say it's best to slowly train them into accepting a muzzle if your dog isn't used to it. There are plenty of training videos on the web. I did it the way I did to test out the durability, knowing that they will do what they can to remove it. I needed to make sure it will hold up for the moments my dog isn't thinking straight and is just freaking out. They got plenty of treats afterward, and from now on, I will train him properly. Overall, worth the buy, especially for the price.

the extra small muzzle is way to big for my Schnauzer 12 lb I have bought others from Amazon that were great this brand has very poor sizing problems be ware.

It fits seems to be sturdy but my dog doesn't like the strap that goes between his eyes
