This is well built but it is not non-slip. I worked very hard to get my dog to use this and when he finally got the courage to get on it with all four legs he slipped backwards and is now scared of it again.

It is a good and long ramp. The issue I am having is trying to get it stable when trying to use it in a new Ram 2500 4 door truck, There is no way to secure it. I may have to return it if I can't find a way to get it stable . The dog had to jump because the ramp wobbled when we tried to get him in the truck. He is a big dog.

This is a very quality ramp. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. It is heavy duty. I can crawl on it (but I'm kinda tiny) My large dog (who actually needs it) will not use it. I don't know if it's just him being chicken or it's too narrow for him (80lbs and very tall). My little Jack Russell seems to like it fine. He just ran right up it. The construction is very nice. It folds for easy travel. Has an integrated carry handle. It is fairly heavy, but compact and portable. The top has little hooks to help grab whatever it's leaning against. They could be a little bigger for added stability, but it does have a safety carabineer to hook somewhere. The bottom feet maybe could be a little grippier, but I feel like it's made for smaller or shorter dogs. I also like that the ramp is slightly curved for strength. The hardware is strong and sturdy. The floor of the ramp is padded (slightly) with non slip, water resistant material. It allows for good anti slip paw grip. It is easy to set up in a second. There are no confusing latches to find. It just folds and unfolds in seconds. Easily stored when not in use. I think this is very functional.

As my dog's age, and I age along with them, it is becoming harder and harder to assist them into the car, especially if they are coming home from an anesthetic procedure. I had gotten a previous ramp which I like, but it is wooded and so doesn't fold down for easy storage. This ramp is perfect in that it folds down to a very compact size which is easily stored in my vehicle. It is relatively lightweight, and has a padded handle to carry it by. What I like best is that you can fully extend it, or keep a section or two folded over to adjust to different access situations. For example, if you are between cars and trying to put the dog in the back seat, you may not have enough room to fully extend the ramp to it's total length. But in my testing of the product, it seems to be quite secure if you keep one section folded under on the seat of the car and just use the rest of the ramp for your pet to climb up. (Please note: it is not marketed to be used this way, but I feel it has the capacity to be done.) It has a padded anti-slip material so your pet can keep it's footing. If I have any complaint, it is that it is just a bit narrow for larger breed dogs. It is rated to support dogs up to 250lbs, so I just feel the width could be a bit more generous. Still, my dogs being in the 40-60 lb range should manage quite well on it.

Initially got this for one of our aging pugs.- but turned out to great for many other uses (see below). The craftsmanship of the PALATALA is excellent. Feels sturdy and secure. It can be used in various lengths, which makes it flexible. Unit operates flawlessly, with a confident resistance that doesn't make you feel like your going to lose a finger trying to deploy it. As sturdy as the device is, it's still fairly lightweight and manageable.. Folds up compactly. Our pug Louie is in great health- but starting to have a tough time on stairs. Of course jumping in the car like his younger siblings has also become hard. He was a bit perplexed by the routine - (as captured in the first picture we took,) but caught on quickly after a few tries.Though intended for animal use, also found the ramp extremely useful for other applications. Particularly for moving items in the car and up our raised garage entry. As a pro-musician, I'm constantly moving gear in and out of the car and back and forth into the house. Already with one hernia, the ramp has become ultra useful for rolling up some of my heavier items to avoid dead lifting. All in all- well made, and reasonably priced for this level of quality. Easily 5 stars.

Excellent quality ramp. Well made metal fold up design. It is a bit heavy but that is to be expected for its size and build quality. This is definitely for large dogs in my opinion because if you can lift a dog up into the vehicle then you don't probably what the hassle of a ramp or stairs however if you cannot lift your dog up, this is a very good way to go. I have used styrofoam stairs for my large, older dogs which have been fine but if their hips get too bad, the ramp is the best way for them to get up into the vehicle. This has good tread for grip and is wide which helps getting your dog used to going up the ramp. Once they get the hang of it, this will be much better on their hips and joints. I did not include any pics as I feel the company's pics of the product are accurate.

Love everything about ramp EXCEPT the material used on surface to give grip. I have large German shepherds and I don’t know how well this material will hold up to their claws. It would be better is it was perhaps glued down to the entire surface but it is not. It feels like it could tear. On the positive side, it is made very solidly. It does not feel cheap in any way in the construction. It opens up and closes in a flash. Very lightweight and folds up very compactly. Really good product for the money.
