I like the advancements that this item puts forward. I have had two others over the past ten years. I lost them in a house fire. Unfortunately, no instructions were provided here, and I never heard back after requesting such, so I am going in on this based on my previous experiences and what I could glean from other sources. I am reluctant to use it on my dog for anything other than the safest features because of that. My only reason for acquiring another one is that we have a new neighbor, and my dog, on his own, regularly went next door to visit him and check out an area where deer and foxes venture, not to mention the regular appearances of rabbits and squirrels. That neighbor recently passed away. My new neighbors haven't officially moved in yet, and they only appear with contractors at random times, so I haven't met them. As such, I am hoping the voice and sound features will be sufficient to keep my buddy happy and safe. It is taking some time because he recently turned ten, and things are ingrained.I like the light feature on the remote. It is a very well-designed tool and sleek in the hand. I especially like, for my dog, the lower-profile module with the prongs that go through the collar; the previous models had much-larger modules and the collars wrapped over it. As a result, there was excess give where the collar came back against his neck, which allowed them to flop around and gravitate toward his throat. This one stays put for the most part. The beeps are loud, and the vibrations are alerting. I'm not sure about the voice mode; who likes hearing their own voice broadcast back to them?Overall, it's a great value...a phenomenal value. If not for the lack of instructions and decent instructions, it would be a clear five stars.

This device is actually helping my dog behave! I was skeptical but it’s working. I usually give a beep as the first warning and then vibrate on the second time and that usually does the trick! The device works great and actually has a long working distance

This dog training collor is amazing. With all the different mode and strengths there are plenty of options to try. My pup and i are learning together.

Too big and too powerful for our 50 pound dog who just barks waaaay too much ... unfortunately the vibration and beep modes have no effect. Bummer.

This is the perfect tool to vibrate/remind your dog not to bark. I like to keep back up ones so that one is always charged. My dog responds well to this one and the barking is minimized!

There are some things to love, and some things I don't quite get about this unit. On balance, though, it's a solid option, and I'd consider it to help with training a dog. I don't think it would be as effective as a emergency behavior deterrent - and I'll explain why.The good: it's solidly made, not too heavy, and the collar is good. It also appears possible that you could poke two holes in a different collar and install it there too, if you wanted to. It keeps its battery life going an impressive amount of time... like easily a week with light use. Probably more to be honest, we sort of lost track between charges. It has a little light on both the remote and the collar (controlled by remote) which I found exceedingly useful and used multiple times. It also has an intercom - where you can press a button and speak to your dog to give a verbal command. This was bar none the best feature. It also has an audible beep/tone for a warning, a vibration mode, and then the shock.Which brings us to the bad. The tone definitely got our pup's attention. It was jarring, in a good way, interrupting the behavior. Similarly the vibration. In the rare instances that we needed to intervene (like she was roughhousing too far or doing something unsafe) the vibration caught her attention... mostly. She sort of became desensitized to it at low levels after only a few times. However, the shock feature doesn't work. I don't want to say it doesn't work like it's broken. I mean it's ineffective. Abandon any expectations of it stopping your dog in its tracks as an emergency action. It was so ineffective, that after I tried it a few times and it had no effect, I realized how much more effective the voice intercom feature was. I tested the shock on myself, and even at high levels, I'd describe it as a faint tickle.Hard to say if I got a bad unit, because every other feature works flawlessly. I think the shock level is just dramatically too low, and it's a shame because it's often a matter of the most urgency and most importance, and to not be able to depend on it to stop an emergency is not ideal. But the remaining features work so well, I still think it's a decent product. I just would get a different shock collar if the shock is your end goal.

My Labrador loves to pull the leash and sprint when I walk him. Since I used this training collar, with gentle vibration and voice commands, he has become much more obedient. I no longer have to worry about my arm being hurt by the leash, and it is not embarrassing to go out. It is comfortable to wear and easy to operate. Now I can go out without any worries, and walking the dog has become a pleasure!

The operation is simple and the mode adjustment is also very convenient. Both the owner and the dog can adapt easily. Now when I take it out, the dog becomes more well-behaved and the whole process is no longer so tiring. I am very satisfied with this purchase!
