My focus is on the bite plug. My dog has a habit of picking things off the ground and not opening his mouth so I can remove his find. This plug allows me to put it in between his bite and remove the item.

I want my money back! This is a great idea, in theory. Put a wedge between the teeth, brush with mouth open. There are several issues with this. First I have to train my dog. My dog is smart and has been trained to do small tricks so no problem I thought but it’s not a positive reward when you stick a giant toothbrush in his mouth. Second, the large head is too big for my medium size dog’s mouth. $17 is too much for what is essentially a small tooth brush and a chew toy. Totally unimpressed. This is a gimmick not a true way to brush the dogs teeth. I’m really annoyed. Of course this is my opinion

So the brush utself work fine. The two different size heads are nice if you have 2 different sized animals. The mouth piece on the other hand that is suposed to hold the dogs mouth open is very hard to use and keep in place while also trying to brush the dogs teeth. I don't even use it anymore and just work around my dogs mouth as he allows me. He usually has his mouth open the entire time trying to get the brush out anyway. Hopefully he will get better with time but 2 months in and he still hates it.

Polar opposite experiences with the two different components of this package.The toothbrush itself is great - smartly designed in terms of functionality and ergonomics. Just the right length to keep fingers at a safe distance while providing enough leverage for some application of force. My dog is used to having his teeth brushed, and after a few minutes of becoming acquainted with this new toothbrush, he was happily adjusted.The bite block...I'm not quite sure what to make of it. It's nicely designed, and for all intents and purposes should have been a helpful addition to the process. But for whatever reason, my dog just won't accept it. Whether it's the chemical composition or something else, he refuses to take it into his mouth. It's not a matter of training, as he learns quickly and, for example, accepted the toothbrush with no issues. It's also not a matter of being shy; this is a dog that will put anything into his mouth that fits! There's just something about this bite block that turns him off, and although I can't figure out what it is, I don't think it's user error, so the final rating does need to reflect this oddity.So, unfortunately, this combination will end up with a rating of four stars; five for the brush, and three for the bite block. If I ever figure out the issue or find a workaround, I'll be sure to update.

I brush my dog's teeth daily so she has no problem with the brush. Since I brush my dog by having her between my legs I find that the bite block bothersome to hold. I don't necessarily need it because I can get the teeth in the back just fine. I tried brushing her teeth facing her and it was too different from her routine. Oh well.Can be helpful for new dog owners.

I was excited to get this because my dog hates having to brush his teeth and I thought the bite block would be a great option. My issue is that my dog thinks it’s a toy and just wants to chew it. the bite block fits nicely on your finger like a ring and if you have a dog that can sit still this would work great for you. I have no issue with the bite block but I do think the bristles on the brush are a little too stiff/hard. It’s still a nice brush with a great reach. I use it on his back teeth with little to no pressure. If you have no problems brushing your dogs teeth this is a gods option

Everything about this pet brush combo makes sense. It has a dual-ended brushes for different sizes teeth. The built in tongue scraper on the back of the brush head. The long handle to get those hard to reach back teeth. And my favorite; the bite block, which helps to keep your pet's mouth open and prevents you from getting bitten.This is such a great find.
