It’s just a plastic whistle, but my mostly deaf dog can hear high frequencies. This is much better than the police whistle I used before. It’s still fairly loud, and I can hear it myself, but it works. For neighbor dogs, though, it seemed to set them all off barking—so your results may vary.

These whistles are super portable, perfect for walks with my dog. A quick blow seems to calm him and helps him listen better. Over time, it’s created a connection that doesn’t even need words.
