Used this for a vent for my new microwave. The item came from China and took over 3 weeks to get to me. Delayed the project and that minor detail was left out in the sellers description. The foil is very delicate and tears easily. So need to be gentle with it.

I ordered this thinking it was a standard dryer vent hose. Boy was I wrong. When I got this I realized that it is huge. I've never seen a dryer vent that's this big and would require this sized ducting. So so residential homes have 4-in and this is a 7-in and way too big. It seems like good quality and flex as well though.

This ducting is sold as a dryer vent, but at 7 inches, it is slightly too wide for most, if not all household dryers. Nevertheless, it gets the job done at a very reasonable price for it’s size, especially when compared to the smaller 4 inches, or even 6 inches ducts. Using this to replace our old dryer duct hose that is dusty with stuck lint inside is easy.Simply using duct tape to seal around the oversized area turned out to be an easy fix for the larger size. In fact, I am happier to use this larger duct pipe as it allows for a greater airflow from right at the dryer vent outlet fitting. It will allow a greater volume of hot air and lint particles to blow out of the dryer more freely. Less likely to clog or cause a back pressure in airflow. I like that.I am also using one of these 7-inches ducting for the master bathroom exhaust fan. The exhaust fan outlet pipe is 6-inches, but it was very easy to duct tape and then zip-tie this flexible ducting to the fan vent in the attic. The aluminium fabric sheeting that covers the spring coil flexes perfectly when I extended the tube to the full 5 feet. Understanding it is an aluminium mylar foil is important when handling, to prevent punctures or breakage while installing. I had no problems with it.I certainly recommend this 5 feet long, 7-inches wide flexible ducting. When I was shopping locally and online for this, I was shocked at how very expensive these ducting had gotten. Much more than what this one is selling for. Buying a second one was a no brainer as it adequately got the job done at a decent price of $13.50 from Amazon.Easy to work with. Just have a roll of duct tape and/or zip ties handy for tight fits on the pipes
