Your cart is empty. This drop in false bottom converts a cooler, kettle, or brew pot into a mash tun. Every part of it is stainless steel. The domed perforated false bottom fits into the bottom of your tun. When leaving the tun wort will pass through the false bottom and be strained by the false bottom. A grain bed will be formed and you can sparge that if you recipe calls for it. Some brewers include rice hulls for better filtration. A must-have for all grain brewing. Choose the appropriate size for your kettle or tun, this is the huge 15" size false bottom. It requires 15" of diameter to fit..
This domed false bottom fits tightly into the bottom of your brew kettle, leaving just enough room for the wort to pull out leaving grain bed above. Made with high grade perforated stainless steel. .
For LARGE insulated round beverage containers, like Igloo or Rubbermaid coolers, or any shape container with at least a 15"x15" opening at the top.
Measure your kettle or cooler to verify it will fit a 15" round false bottom. This is the 'bare bottom' you will need 7" of 3/8" High Temp Tubing and two stainless steel worm clamps. We suggest a 3/8" barb to 1/2" FPT (Female Pipe Thread). This item is also available in several levels of kit.

Size is good and the fittings are not bad. They don’t Clyde two o-rings which is a little overkill, but the material is so thin, it easily bends in with little pressure and would definitely collapse with a 20 gal mash. I did not test it but it seemed the fitting would be flush with the bottom of the kettle when bent in and would restrict flow dramatically, if not stopping it completely.I ended up returning this, I might be sourcing a custom false bottom from MoreBeer

This fit perfectly in the "ring" (above ball valve) near the bottom of my Bayou Classic 16 gal brew pot. I've burned though two brew bags with my two recent brews. Pleased. Thick enough not to collapse under the grain weight, too.
