It is a safety switch for my RV refrigerator. If the canister for the amonnia overheats it will shut the refrigerator down

I used this to replace the fuse on my Dometic RV fridge. This did not resolve the original issue but it was a good replacement. I feel like the cost is very high for what it is. I could probably find a similar part for a much lower cost but I wanted to go with the mfg part to make sure I was getting the right one.

Attaches to sheet metal to monitor the temp of heating unit on back of absorption refrigerator for safety shut down. Heavy duty. Pop rivits in place. DC power wire routes here then to control board.

It fixed my rv fridge for a short time howeverit was put on my fridge in sept 2022 and put the rv in storage in october and taken out again in may of 2023 when i plugged in my camper and turned on the fridge itcworked for a short time and then tripped i then reset thrmofuse and it stsrted to work but only for a short time. Why would something like this happen. I await a reply
