Lid doesn’t latch to close. Even when I press down on it, it won’t latch. What good is the extra insulation if the lid doesn’t close?

I thought mine was completely DOA. When plugging it into AC the screen would flash the dometic logo for a moment then turn off. Hitting the power button did nothing, neither did holding it down. I assumed it was totally DOA but I'm persistent. I've been able to get it to turn on by really mashing it a bunch of times and it seems to work fine from there until it's turned off again. The instruction manual say to just press the power button and doesn't really say anything else about it. There's a bunch of bluetooth crap in there so maybe it needs time to boot up or something and just holds a blank screen for 45 seconds instead of a visual indicator saying that it's booting up. I'll mess around with it some more later to see if I can figure anything out, hopefully it's just a major oversight in their UI design and not a hardware issue. If there's no obvious pattern to it and it's actually a broken button I'm going to return it. I'll update the review later with what I find, but 1 star for now.Edit:Tested it out and it's definitely broken. Plugging into AC and waiting 3 mins before hitting power to give the electronics time to wake up did nothing. Hitting power and waiting 3 mins also did nothing. Holding the button down, double tapping it, none of that made a difference. Only way to get it to turn on was to just wail on the button a bunch of times for 20 seconds. Seems like an electronics issue and based on other reviews it looks like it's pretty common. Who knows how long I'll be able to get it to turn on so I returned it.

Same issue as at least one other 1-star review here: DOA. Dead On Arrival. Tried it with multiple DC and AC power sources, with the same result each time: once plugged into the power source, the Dometic logo briefly appears on the cooler's screen (as if it's trying to "boot up") and then goes away, followed by...nothing. Zip. No response from start button (or any other button). Packaging was banged-up a little (one of the Styrofoam corner pieces was broken), but nothing too terrible. Particularly disappointing as we have a 4-year old Dometic fridge in our RV that has been a work-horse with no problems at all -- was expecting the same quality.

Powered on and is stuck in QR code. Tried holding every reset configuration down. Read online forums and still have no access to temperature control. So bummed!
