It worked as a replacement part for our old awning. We did have to do some very minor alterations to make it work. We are pleased with it

The main torsion spring piece was fine but the packaging was the problem. Packed in a heavy cardboard tube with metal end caps. Caps were taped on with ordinary packing tape. Caps came off in transit and loose parts were lost. Luckily we could scavenge those from unit we were replacing, to make it work.

Very hard to find for my year awning. Company had some in stock but price was much more than through Amazon. Go figure. Perfect replacement for old broken ones....... Happy.
