The cable would not fully come through the helm. After spending an hour installing, the cable is catching on something in the helm. I cannot figure out who to contact for help, I will likely be pulling this out and returning it.

It fit very well. The length was correct. And I had drill a couple holes for the replacement helm hardware. The instructions were clear and concise and everything fit together as expected.It took me about an hour and a half to install.

Our new pontoon flipped in a storm so the original Sea Star steering gear got loaded with sand. Replacement went well, it took me three hours.

I was very impressed with the ease of installation in my Commodore 265. It comes with great instructions and everything laid out perfectly. Benefit over rack is steering "locks" when not turning helm/wheel,so makes cruising more relaxing.Docking is worse as have to overcome resistance of clutch mechanism for every steering input.
