When I purchased my new RV toilet, I did not realize it was a 4-bolt mount. I was just going to return the toilet but saw this product on Amazon. I was hesitant at first because of the price but decided to purchase the product. This installation was straightforward and the toilet was installed in about 45 minutes. (Most of the time was spent in rerouting the water line.) Highly recommend!

Worked perfect! It was a loooong process getting the new toilet installed but THIS adapter is all we needed and I wish I had known that from the start. It is a 4 bolt to two bolt converter and goes ON TOP of the current one. The toilet WILL SIT HIGHER which is why they send you the big plastic piece.

I used this adapter kit to mount my new Dometic toilet on a flange that had the mounting holes in a different configuration. The adapter kit did its job as advertised. The large "plate" was as a bit larger than I expected but I had the room for it so it wasn't a problem. Make sure you check your measurements before ordering. If the large plate is too big for your area, you will probably have to replace the flange instead of using this adapter. The actual adapter ring seems sturdy enough and was easy to install, as the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

As this was an adapter for an existing toilet, I had to cut out an area for the existing water supply. It was easy enough to install that I hired a high school boy to do it under my supervision. This was his first time at any plumbing and he had no problem.

It is simply a flange with a base to match around the bottom of your toliet. The thickness is the same as the flange. Be sure to measure behind toliet as well as sides. In my case not enough room behind behind toliet for this adapter, had to return. There was a restocking charge, plus shipping. I was able to turn my old flange to make it work with more effort after the adaptor was to large.

The mount is only about 1/2 inch thick made out of solid material. I was expecting about 1 inch thick and had to change my flange to make it work. Otherwise it fit as advertised.
