Extender works great.Due to the available connections on my original chimes (Utilitec), the transmitter was always on when the leads were connected to transformer and front. By moving from front to rear (unused) it worked great. I thought I was going to have to chase wires to find out which one returned from the doorbell button.

Product is fine and works great. Amazon was a nightmare. Lost first order refunds took two long conversations and lots of i’m sorry then they refunded the duty only and now they say they will refund the rest. Glad i’m not dealing with hundreds of dollars. You would think they would offer a little compensation but no just some false i’m sorry’s

I just got delivered and try to install it to my wired chime bell but unfornately I am uable to pair it to the receiver? The installation instruction is very poorly written, no indication as how to make conection with the wiring of the transmitter to the wiredbell system which will make the pairing not possible???

No problems. I had read previous comments about the poor instructions. To pair the two doorbells, I used two people. One to hold the doorbell button in and one to hold the remote receiver button in.

Yes, the thing is made in China and yes, the instruction manual in not without its shortcomings, but for me the installation went smoothly and quickly in our old ‘ding-dong’ Nutone mechanical doorbell. As noted by one reviewer, Step (3) does say to press the ‘Transmitter button’, but per this product page, ‘transmitter button’ = your ‘actual’ on-the-outside, by-the-door doorbell. I also discovered two helpful features: 1) the Chime Receiver remembers the ringtone selected even if it is unplugged and moved to a different electrical outlet; 2) the Chime Receiver and Transmitter came already paired so I was able to skip Step 4 ‘Pairing A Transmitter To Receiver’. Here’s how I installed: A) Plug the ‘Chimer’ into a convenient socket (Instruction Manual Step 1), e.g., extension cord; B) Set an appropriate Volume (Step 3) and choose a Ringtone (Step 5); C) Optional - move the Chimer to a socket convenient during Transmitter installation and/or testing; D) Install the Transmitter (Step 2); E) Check the pairing by pressing the wired doorbell – if it works then done! F) Optional - move the Chimer to desire ‘final’ location and check the volume (Step 3). Good luck!

Instructions are horrible. Went to the reviews and tried other things customers had tried to make it work. Never would pair. Only 5 seconds to pair, still would not. Transmitter is crap. Trust me, do not buy this Chinese crap.

Works for my needs. I only can get the normal chime to work, but it works fine and has good range. The instructions are not good and the transmitter had no button to push or led lighting up. Could not change the doorbell chime. So it defaults to normal bing bong. That is ok. I really needed an extender. Other issue is the receiver is picking up a signal from somewhere very intermittently and it starts playing music. I can live with it. I prefer my old unit that I left in my home when I moved. I did not electrically connect to the door bell but was on the outside and sensed the vibrations when the door bell rang. That unit was awesome. Should never have left it.

Great and easy doorbell extender. Only thing, doesn't come with any double sided tape for the transmitter. Stuck to the side of one of the ringers before close the doorbell cover. Great selection of doorbell sounds, like on a smart phone. Very loud and nice blinking blue ring light.Would highly recommend for older people that have a hard time hearing the doorbell. Going to add another ringer for a outside area.

I got 2 of these doorbell extenders for my relative that is hard of hearing and frequently doesn't have their hearing aids in. I used one transmitter in the original doorbell and paired two receivers to the single transmitter. What I didn't realize was that I had to select the right notification tune before pairing, as it can't be updated after pairing without unpairing, changing the tune, then re-pairing with the transmitter. Synchronizing two receivers to the same tune is a bit of hassle cycling through the tunes, but not horrendously so. Had I known that my relative would be a bit fickle, I'd have spent more time going over the tunes beforehand and saved a bit of back and forth work at the original door chime with the synchronization steps. That aside, which I think the instructions could make a bit more clear, the installation was fairly easy and the transmitter worked fine on my relative's old ~11V bell circuit. The volume was adequate for the small home, in particular having one chime upstairs and one downstairs, plus the original (weak) ding-dong bell chime. It was a bit pricey compared to some other options, but I liked not having to worry about replacing a battery in the outside door bell button (as needed for some wireless doorbell buttons), plus that allowed me to keep the outdoor button with a light up feature. The doorbell doesn't get a lot of use, but for those infrequent visitors, they no longer have to ring 3 or 4 times or start knocking on the door to get a response.

The Extenders transmitter is small but it was still a bit to big to fit inside my really cramped Door bell box . I had to put sideways next to the plungers that popup to hit the noise maker. Also had to use some masking tape so the Transmitter would not interfere with that mechanism. My first try that is was happened causing the original bell to have a thud sound. Time will tell if the tape will hold. May need to use some of the two sided foam tape. The Bell probably has too many sounds, but has some Xmas and Holiday tunes if a holiday sound is wanted. I kept it at the traditional Ding Dong sound. I have a three story house so it is nice to now be able to hear the door bell upstairs with the extenders noise maker. The volume controls work well.
