Needed to be cut, the strength is at the ends . The labor costs to install, better to get one that fits without cutting.

Dorman should include metal screw clamps instead of zip ties. Boot came off at the wider end because I couldn't tighten the zip tie, it broke. So I used a metal band clamp which worked great.

cheap material(you get what you pay for) and has no vent hole so you can hear suction of the fluid moving through it.

Product seems good. Quite thinner then OEM but a great cheaper alternative. It may tear easily. Zip ties are not the greatest. Best to use hose clamps. UPDATE. Used boots for a bit now. They sag due to being thin and flimsy. Had one tear very easily. Back to square one. Ordering OEM. Good luck.

The instructions said don't cut the large end, but I couldn't stretch it over the power steering rack. I trimmed it and slid it right on. I then secured it using a hose clamp instead on the included zip tie on the power steering rack side and the factory clamp on the outer tie rod. Several thousand miles and it is still holding perfect.

Real easy to install works better then the hard oem boots it had used zip ties to hold on so me special tools needed
