From the factory, my 2006 Silverado 1500 WT did not have cruise control, but the internet suggested that it could be added using just a new multifunction switch. I replaced the switch and cruise control worked perfectly without the need for a computer update or any sensor installation.However, in my case the existing wiring harness did not have the physical 4 pin connector for cruise, so I had to wire that part of this Dorman switch in directly. The wire colors on the Dorman did not match the OEM wiring, so I had to do some research and some testing. Please confirm for yourself as the colors change in the future, but I found that this wiring was successful:Black wire to B18 for power.Yellow wire to B32 for cruise control on/off.Blue wire to B10 for setting cruise speed.Red wire to B1 for cruise acceleration.

It works for the most part. Would not buy again. Dorman stuff is garbage anymore.
