Product looks and feels durable and seems well made. I appreciated it being pre-lubricated. Was an exact fit replacement or my 2003 Chevy s10 and was extremely simple to install. It is priced a bit higher than I expected it would be but if it lasts, it’s worth it.

Replaced worn out factory latch. Maybe just dumb luck but didn’t need to adjust after installing. Tightened semi loosely, checked clearance and body lines, fit just right.

Old latch was damaged and... well... old. Aligned perfectly and solidly. Price was slightly better than brick and mortar shops.

Nothing cheezy about this; it seems to be built well. It came apparently bone dry so it got a thorough flush (and wipe) with spray grease and then it bolted right in. Don't forget to check all the hood positioning rubber pieces (search: hood rubber stops) when ordering this, most especially the two adjustable ones you usually find in the front.This is a little expensive to be buying just-for-the-heck-of-it, so be sure you need it. If the old latch has a spring, a clip, and two levers that don't wobble much on their rivets, clean it to death, lube it, and remount it at various heights in the oblong holes. It seems to work. A lot.

This was a sigh of relief. My hood wouldn't open on my 2000 chevy blazer unless i pulled the lever and ran over a bump in the ground. this was a 5 minute job, fit in perfectly and works like a charm now. anyone could replace this
