My husband's tailgate cable was broken on one side. He was going to try to rig up something to fix it because he didn't want to go to the dealer, too expensive, even a parts store, too long to wait for part to come in so I said let's try Amazon. Got the specs that was needed to order & it came in less than a week & it fit perfectly & price very reasonable! Amazon has just about everything you need. This fits great. Very easy to install. Looks very durable. I used only 1 piece because this side strap was frayed but the other side is still good. I'm saving the other new one just in case for later replacement on which ever side that will wear down and needs it. For the price, it's great product. Very durable and strong looking. I would recommend it to anyone that needs it.

Works as advertised. Fit my 2002 Nissan Frontier perfectly. I did have to have my wife hold the tailgate up just slightly while I screwed in the bolt but that was because the old cables had co.pletely rusted through on both sides. Great buy

Perfect fit for a 1999 Nissan Frontier XE V6 4x4 w/5 speed manual transmission. After a couple of decades, the original tailgate support cables had cracked and corroded to the point they failed, allowing the tailgate to make contact with the bumper. These are super easy to install; I would suggest looking up a short video showing you how to remove the old ones and install these. The video I found showed the guy removing the top part (the part that attaches to the side of the bed) with a screwdriver by trying to pry out the inner piece of the strap connector. What I found was that this was tedius and required a strong, thin screwdriver. What I did was just remove the bolt it connects to on the bed. It's not under very much torque and makes the job go much smoother.Definitely recommend these to anyone with an older Fronty. They look like they're made better than the originals and quite a bit cheaper than OEM's from Nissan (if you can even find them nowadays).
