Noticed before installing that it had pin holes nears the surface of the small metal tubes and the get tube it’s self returned for replacement also remove egr valve first if then remove pipe you can wiggle the nut and pipe to remove easier to install start pipe on egr the to manifold and it should be easier then fighting as it the right length also part number required 917-402

Lasted 3.5 years. Hard to get on. Had to bend tube to fit. MAKE SURE YOU USE HIGH TEMP ANTI-SEIZE ON THREADS! Otherwise have to remove entire manifold, heat with torch to remove, and sometimes that don’t work. Overall.. not that great of quality….as most Dorman products are. But they work and are cheaper then OEM. So live them, and always use anti seize cause you can plan on replacing again.

I replaced the EGR tube on my 1998 Ford Expedition with 5.4 Triton engine when I had the exhaust headers replaced with Dorman Headers. The mechanic said the original EGR tube was rotten at the seam and was barely hanging on at the exhaust header attachment point. Since installing this tube, my engine seems to have more power, is much quieter, and not sure yet, but the mileage seems better as well. Great replacement for the factory tube and much less expensive.
