aside from having to remove the front driveshaft for access it was an easy install and was already clocked to 2wd so no worries about alignment

A lot cheaper than others. I have a 2002 2500HD 4x4 of course. I have a 6.0L gas Engine, with a NP263HD transfer case. I heard others needing an adapter pigtail for the electrical connection but was not needed on mine. Worked perfectly and would recommend.FYI, my NP263HD transfer case is the one that you have a 3 button switch mounted on the left side of your steering column. If you have a switch that looks like Dorman 901-063 Chevrolet/GMC 4WD Switch this unit should work fine. I have attached a photo of the switch for your reference.
