DOES NOT WORK.Installed new bulb and new ballast.Bulb would not go off !! Installed old ballast and it works perfectly!!!

Bought two of these to put in my 2015 Mustang, and supplied them to a local trusted shop to install (newer Mustangs take a ridiculous amount of disassembly to do any ballast / headlight work).Admittedly, both were bought as Amazon Warehouse deals, which gave me some concern (especially at a 75% discount!) but they looked okay upon arrival.Here are my results so far:-One ballast came out of the box with a misshapen connector, which was noticed by my mechanic when he attempted to install it. This rendered it unusable, and I had to return it.-The second Dorman ballast was installed with a brand new OSRAM bulb (same model as installed at factory). This combination lights up correctly maybe 50% of the time. Otherwise, it flickers and then dies out. Have to toggle the lights repeatedly and just cross my fingers until either it works, or I give up.What's worse is that Dorman is about the only replacement ballast brand I can readily find. Even brick-and-mortar stores like AutoZone carry only these.
