The metal tab that connects to the wiper motor is not splined so won't work properly. The ball joints are different sizes than the original so you can't swap out pieces to make it work. 2000 gmc sierra 1500

I purchased this product TWICE from O'Reilly Auto Parts and Autozone. This DOES NOT FIT a 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT, contrary to what has been advertised The 602-215 transmission sits too high in the compartment, and, as a result, the motor sits too high so the windshield cowl no longer sits flush on the windshield. Also, you can see the motor moving the windshield cowl up and down as it struggles to crank the transmission left and right because it doesn't fit right. Just purchased a replacement from 1A Auto, that looks like a replica replacement of the original transmission, hoping that this is a proper fix.If you look at the bend on the left side of this transmission it goes up then down vs. the original transmission that dips down then back up to accommodate the far driver side of the car.

I purchased this wiper transmission to replace an old broken one in my used 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS (5.3 L). While the actual linkages appear sound, the threads on the posts that connect the wipers easily strips out. I used a die to rethread both posts and they both stripped TWICE, even using more washers so the nut didn't go too far down the threads.I conclude the metal used for the posts is very weak, because threads so easily break. I would not recommend this brand of wiper transmission.
