My original coolant resevoir on my 95 F250 4x4 7.3 powerstroke only made 265k miles (ha-ha) before it started weeping coolant at the seam. I tend to go OEM for emission, electrical & engine components, so looked to Ford 1st for the cooling system, but the resevoir was going to be over a week out & the sparse offerings were a bit spendy. I saw this Dorman product readily available for less than 1/2 the price so thought I'd try it so I could use my truck while ordering the OE part, but I'm impressed with the quality! Installed like OE & has been holding its own on a couple of hard work hauls, I will update as time passes & miles go by.

Replacement tank for 1997 ford power stroke was a perfect fit

Wanted to replace the old reservoir that had become discolored with time and age to the point you couldn't see the coolant inside and had gunk in the bottom of it. This was an exact replacement for the OEM one. I would highly recommend using a power/air ratchet instead of a manual ratchet as it would make installation much quicker and easier if you don't want to dismantle half the engine just to install it. I didn't and it made the installation take longer than it should have.
