Waste of Money: purchased this Dorman Fan Clutch, installed it and it never worked properly. Complete waste of time and money. Upgraded to mechanical fan clutch using a (1999) Ram V10 fan clutch and fan from F-350 (2000).

Purchased and installed 11 months ago. Truck still got too hot when towing, so figured it was something else. Haven't towed all winter so just waited till now to get it all checked out. Mechanic told me the clutch fan is shot "it is free wheeling and has leaked the fluid out of it.". Should have spent the money for the actual OEM part. Don't waste your money on this junk, it either didn't work out of the box or won't last.

Failed in 4,000 miles. Was 300 miles from home towing a gooseneck horse trailer with expensive horses on board after long trip from Texas. Intermittently pegging engine hot had to replace with a different brand at my cost on arrival home. A once good brand gone the way of cheap crap.

Figured out my fan clutch was shot, bought this one from Amazon.Couldn't get the nut loose with a tool bought locally, ordered the Lisle Impact tool. But as I wasn't pulling much, I forgot about it.Went to pull a big load up a mountain this fall, temp maxed out fast, remembered the fan clutch. Dropped the trailer, Lisle Impact tool worked great, back running in a couple of hours.Noticed a 'noise' a few days later, turns out the bolts holding on the fan to the clutch were tightened to the max of the thread length but the fan was still loose.I took a chance and torqued them up enough to stop the fan wiggling, but am seriously wondering about the Build Quality.I expect this not to last very long, at which point I'll try to purchase the Factory Replacement.

Fit good on ye old truck noted in title, good thing cuz it didn't get installed until after the return date had passed! Price beats the local dealerships.Youtube videos helped with the DIY install, biggest issue was having the correct tools and I was able to borrow the one I didn't have.It came quickly, did not take as long as indicated when ordered.

Replaced the failing factory clutch with this part in May 2021. Now 2 years and 8k miles later it's completely failed. Switching back to a factory Mopar clutch since the original lasted 15 years and 118k miles

This is for a tow vehicle infrequently used. Tested it a short distance on the flat San Joaquin Valley. Seemed OK but not sure. Recently gave it a decent test towing in the mountains with an RV. Heated it up probably was never good in the first place. Can't return it. Probably a $350-$400 loss figuring the cost, taxes, and original installation and removal. Not happy with Amazon or doorman. We'll buy locally next time.

This unit only lasted about 5 months then failed and my 3500 started overheating. You could spin the fan easily by hand showing it was wore out. I had to go ahead and spend $300 on a clutch fan at ORileys that comes with a warranty.

The first unit failed while testing driving less than 5 miles. Returned it and ordered another of the same. This one is still going. It is not a daily driver, but has had 2 or three 100+ mile trips on it.

A far better option then the price a chain auto parts store was offering. Has been installed for a few weeks now. Seems to be working well as of now.

I purchased it not really sure I needed it. YUP..! I needed it. My truck now runs cooler. The AC works better. The transmission runs cooler. The price was good and the unit fit just as it should.

So far it’s worked just like oem but only time will tell btw the original one didn’t fail (after 155k miles the bonehead tow truck driver did it)(that’s just me venting) but so far this new fan clutch has performed flawlessly
