The shape of the line was a duplicate of the original. The problem was the fitting threads. No matter how many times I tried to start threading it in the fitting, it would not start. I don't know if I needed a metric thread pitch or SAE thread pitch. After hours of frustration, I checked the original fitting and it would thread in with no problem. I ended up cutting the new fitting off the Dorman line and installed the original fitting on the new line. I had to double flare the end of the new line, but it worked. I had read on other forums that the fitting may be an issue. I guess it is the luck of the draw which fitting is supplied.
