I had a extra hole (oil dipstick or something).I tapped it and installed a pipe plug.After that it work fine.1985 Mustang Gt 5.0.

This item has a hole drilled through it for a timing pointer. My vehicle does not need a timing pointer. There was no warning of this in the item description or included in the package. I installed it without noticing the hole, attempted to drive to work, and had to have the car towed home due to a large oil leak. Dorman and Amazon have been notified of this and are supposed to change the listing.

I bought this cover for a 1988 Lincoln Town Car. I installed the cover myself. I was happy to see there was a fuel pump block-off plate and gasket included, which I needed for my vehicle. However, the cover has a hole near the bottom on the left side of the cover for a front mounted oil dipstick tube. If this is not needed, you will need a Welch Plug (like a small freeze out plug) or a 1/8" pipe plug and a 1/8" pipe tap to seal this hole. This hole should be mentioned in the description of this cover. Over all I was satisfied with this cover and I would recommend this as a quality replacement part.

I bought this cover for our 1989 Ford Mustang GT.Had it installed by our mechanic with no fitment issues whatsoever.Very satisfied and would highly recommend as a quality replacement.
