This fit a 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3. Did it work? I'm not completely sure. I was having boosting issues where boost would spike 12-15 and quickly taper off to 6-8 psi. Boost leak? Probably, but just COULD NOT find the issue.Only thing that seemed to help was disconnecting the boost solenoid altogether. I would consistently see high boost then. Even get overboost conditions.I eventually got tuning software and tried adjusting all the boost limiting parameters, and still could not seem to get desired boost levels with boost solenoid attached, although can seem to get higher levels than before. Even still to this day.Almost everything points to a leak, but I don't then understand why disconnecting the solenoid would give full boost, even over boost. It's almost like the ECU is still limiting boost somehow, even though I should have it tuned to be full boost up to at least 16 psi regardless of conditions.Long story short. I don't know if my original boost solenoid was bad, or if it was and then this one was bad as well. They both functioned the same.

I was experiencing overboosting issues on my stock 2011 Mazdaspeed3 and the OEM Boost Control Solenoid was the problem. This is the same part as listed on O'Reilly, etc. as for my car.However, the stud that is used to secure this to its mounting location was ~1/8" shorter than it's OEM counterpart. That means the nut securing it is only holding by ~1-2 threads fully secured. I was able to torque it down to spec. However, the fact that the stud does not fully mesh with the nut like the stock unit is why this gets 4 stars.
