The finish of this manifold is not as smooth on the inside as GM. The ports have some jaggedness to them. It comes with gaskets for both sides. Not suppose to use gaskets when bolting to an iron head, so I will do an update down the road on how well that works with this manifold. I would say down the road, I might hit the bores with a grinding stone and try to smooth some of that casting up as car as I can reach, but for now I removed the grease on the part and used high temp clear coat from Rust-Oleum 260771 Automotive High Heat Spray Paint 2000f Hope that will keep them from rusting as I like the look of bare iron.

The casting is a little rough so i took my grinder and cleaned it up a bit and it works good. Nice fit on my 1981 camaro with a 350.

I bought this for my sbc 400. All the hardware and gaskets I got with it was crap. I went to autozone to buy better hardware and gaskets. And to top it off ALL 3 flange studs broke in the casting to where you cannot even thread them in. Would not recommend for anybody. Go to lmk truck and spend the extra 40 dollars or go to a junkyard and get something decent.

Working on an old 1977 Chevy K20, 350 V8 with a driver side exhaust manifold leak. After removing the old original exhaust manifold, I found it warped so badly that even using exhaust manifold stretchers, I could still not line up all the holes to install the manifold studs. After fighting with it way too long, I decided to buy this Dorman driver side exhaust manifold. It arrived today and has now been installed. Perfect fit; all the holes lined up perfectly to allow the exhaust studs to be installed easily. For the price, the machined surfaces are great. It is made with threaded holes in the top portion of the flange for those engines that had California emission A,I. R. Systems and also a threaded hole at the lower exhaust manifold flange for those engines using O2 sensors. Plugs are included for sealing those unused ports on engines not needing them (my engine did not) Also included is a metal exhaust manifold gasket. I decided to use Permatex Copper RTV on the mounting surface in lieu of the gasket to ensure a permanent fit.Also included are 3 studs and nuts, and lock washers for the lower flange area.Don't waste your time fighting with a wrap manifold, get this and get the job done quicker.
