Completely satisfied 100% cast iron. The last exhaust manifold I put on was made of cheap steel that warped and cracked. This thing is solid everything lined up perfect. Installed on 2004 GMC Envoy XL SLT with 4.2L

The price was better then oem which I usual get. The fit was ok. I had to clean the surfaces to make it flat. The heat shield was a joke. It is now designating. Like another reviewer said....use the orginal bolts at the flange to mount the exhaust. The ones that came whith it just came off. I was hoping this would last the rest of the life of the vehicle.....but no i will have to replace ot again.

9 months and roughly 10,000 miles and its holding up A-OK. Casting is a little rough, had to clean up the ports mating up to the cylinder head to remove some material and get them somewhat closer to the exhaust port on the cylinder head, no big deal though. Price is in line with the quality.

PO455 code , cracked manifold, this installed easy enough, also ordered the new bolts although we didn't break any off in the removal, also installed new oxygen sensor and a few other parts, fits great, 05 chevy trailblazer.

I have installed this manifold, and warmed-up the engine. I have not driven the vehicle yet. Therefore I have no long-term assessment.1. The machining is very rough. Looks like it was planed by having Chinese people kick it across a concrete floor.2. The gasket flanges were 0.006--0.007 out-of-true from end-to-end.3. There was a casting void near one of the bolt holes. I don't think that will hurt, but it doesn't inspire confidence. If I'd had more time and was better-prepared, I'd have had this brand-new manifold re-surfaced at a local machine shop to correct the very poor surface finish, and the poor "flatness". That would have reduced the size of the casting void, too, but it would not have eliminated it.4. I had a lot of trouble getting the heat-shield to fit under the casting projections of the cylinder head. I had to bend the shield with pliers and a pry-bar to make it fit. The original heat shield is crimped continuously around the perimeter. The Dorman shield had just a few tabs crimping the outer shell to the inner shell.5. The supplied hardware--studs and nuts for the heat shield, and studs and nuts for the exhaust pipe--seemed poorly machined and weak. I did not dare torque the heat shield to spec, the studs and nuts got "rubbery" at about half the GM-specified torque.6. The box that this arrived in was damaged; the exhaust donut had been crushed by things shifting in shipment. I managed to re-use the original donut.Remember to install the gasket properly; there's one small hole in the manifold flange that should align with the smallest hole in the gasket. When you remove the manifold-to-head bolts, use a swivel socket so there is no side-force on the bolts when you twist them out. I think that may help prevent exhaust manifold bolt breakage--a common problem with this engine. Don't let your tool push the bolts sideways as you turn the bolt out!The original GM manifold is a very high-failure item; I sure hope this Dorman is a longer-lasting product. I'm hopeful, but not confident. Time will tell...[Later Edit]This manifold has tens of thousands of miles on it. Still working nicely. I can recommend this repair kit as long as you understand that it's going to require machining and replacement fasteners to install it properly. The "genuine GM" parts are wildly expensive and have proven to not be any better that this Dorman replacement in terms of lifespan.

This part was EXACTLY what I needed for my 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. I'd suggest also purchasing the Dorman Manifold bolts at the same time. The only minor issue was the heat shield.......I did have to make a couple of minor tweaks for its fit after getting the manifold on, but nothing that affected the performance or integrity of the shield. Great price on the part and easy to get in.
