What happened to the Quality checks with Dorman parts? The internal drive is milled incorrectly to fit over the intermediate drive for the Ford 4.0 v6 oil pump.

DO NOT PURCHASE. SHAFT (internal spines) IS NOT MACHINED RIGHT FOR A FORD RANGER / EXPLORER 4.0 ENGINEDOES NOT FIT. MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. Unit can be off by .05 MM or basically a hair-width, the vendor must not use go / no go gauges to validate the machined internal spines.GO PURCHASE A REBUILT UNIT.As other review said:After numerous attempts to install this part I determined the quality control for the internal splines on the shaft was poor and the cause of my inability to install the part. ... After numerous attempts to install this part I determined the quality control for the internal splines on the shaft was poor and the cause of my inability to install the part. Luckily Amazon allowed me to return it for a full refund. I then ordered a Cardone re-manufactured part which fit without any trouble. I typically don't hesitate to purchase Dorman parts, but in the future I'll think twice for parts such as this one.

Item as described, has been installed and working for 4-5 months no. No trouble codes. It did have a tighter fit going in than the old one did coming out, but that could be something as basic as the old one having a 20 year old shrunken o-ring on it.
