motor seemed fine but it arrived with broken clips on the cables (not from transit). The cables were of a cheap construction and the clips fell apart even more every time they were touched.

Ordered right and left and as I expected the connector was not correct but it was suppose to come with a cable and one did and the other did not

This Motor Pulls the window down fine but when trying to lift it the motor hums, getting louder every inch that it goes up and starts to slow halfway up the tracks. I took the motor out and greased the regulator and made sure the it did not have any frayed wires. The rollers are tight and there was no slack in the tension of the wire which tells me that the motor is a very very poor construction that has been made with either substandard wire or the number of turns in the magnet assembly is off by a mile making this motor a slap it together item, instead of a engineered product.

You gotta love Amazon Prime. Order this window lift motor yesterday and received it today. I open the box to find a slip of paper stating that this unit was made to fit multiple vehicles. I was a bit concerned that the hole alignment wouldn't match my 1997 Nissan Altima, butt to my surprise it fit like a clove. Although if it didn't, there is a easy way to move the attachment nuts to the correct location. The motor works great and I'm back in business. About a 30 minute fix with a Philips screw driver and a 10mm nut driver.

Installed Dorman 742-504 on Infiniti J30 driver's window. The bolt sockets in the unit can be moved to different locations, but for the J30 they were already in the correct places. Unlike another review's experience, the bolt sockets didn't need tapping. On the J30, the 742-504 unit is for the left windows, front and rear. The 742-503 unit is for the right windows. Enter the year, make, model in Dorman's website (ww.dormanproducts.com) and it'll tell you if the unit is correct for your window. The motor might be a tiny bit less powerful than the original, but window works very nicely.

Im giving this product one star. Beware when i bought this product it had no harness and instructions say to butt splice with old harness. Thats alot of work for competitive pricing. Also this motor did not fit my car and im still struggling to make it work..fyi save yourself alot of time and buy the motor and new regulator together. That will help save you the aggravation..if i could give this problem a negative rating i would. Im extremely upset ! Im very much tempted to send it back n get a refund..but overall im not happy...

This motor did not fit my 1996 200SX passenger side window (front window, car is a two door). I gave the product 3 stars because the quality does appear good and it did turn when I connected the power and operated the window controls. The problem was that this motor did not physically fit my car. The shape was different from OEM and did not fit flush against the window regulator. I returned it to Amazon (bought with Prime and, as always, great customer service). Note: I subsequently bought the "ACI 88255 Power Window Motor" (seller is Amazon) and that worked better although not perfect (screw holes didn't line up exactly right but was able to fiddle with it and make the installation work well enough to keep).
