Great fix! I am so happy I bought it and did the repair myself. See video on YouTube someone made. I commented. I just cut my old wires and soldered these wires to those, then wrapped with electrical tape. I did that all external to van gate, so probably gets some exposure. I am not too concerned. Should last years. Works perfectly now after being intermittent with original.

Used this part to replace the trunk latch switch on a 2016 Honda Odyssey. Have to splice the two wires, there a lots of YouTube videos out there, but this fit the screw holes and lined up perfectly. Working so far.

I can confirm this on part fits my 2013 Honda odyssey. However, the connector is not right and you will need to do some wire splicing. I like the flexibility and quality of the wires of this part. The original button had rigid, low quality wires which eventually degraded and prevented the button from working.

Oh, man. So good to not have to buy the whole camera assembly. Spliced this with the original connector and was a perfect fit for a dead switch on a 2017 Honda. Also, saw a video where someone removed the whole inner liner. I did not have to do this, just removing the wide plastic panel inside got me enough space to remove the four nuts so that the chrome outer trim piece came off and I could replace that way. Super easy, maybe 30min.

$400 plus for and new Honda Odyssey tailgate handle assembly. High cost due to camera, I just needed to replace door switch. This will bolt in on a odyssey with camera, the plug harness is different so will have to cut wires and reconnect to exciting harnesses. Works well

So the listing says it doesn't fit the 2016 Honda Odyssey. This is not entirely true. The original part cost much more as it comes with the back up camera a bracket and the switch. If you have some mechanical ability you can probably make it work for yours too. The connector is not the same as the factory one either. It does physically mount to the factory bracket. And I recommend testing the new switch before you go modifying it to make it work correctly. I didn't want to pay for a camera and bracket I didn't need.

I used this to replace the switch in a 2013 odyssey with the backup camera. The connector is different but the switch physically mounts fine. If you're remotely mechanically inclined this a fairly easy job.1 - Cut off the connector supplied by Dorman, remove the protective sleeve.2 - Cut off the connector from the original switch leaving as much slack as possible.3 - Remove old switch, pull wires out of OEM honda boot.4- Feed wires for dorman switch through honda boot, use glass cleaner or soapy water to help the wire slip through the boot.5 - Splice wires using butt connectors or solder. The splice ends up inside the van so it's protected from the elements.
