As others have said, this product is a cheaply made hunk of junk. The surface of the entire piece looks unfinished and jagged, the inside of it is terrible, and the threads will never seal. Where the plug and heater hose extension connect, I had coolant leak severely, even with a sealant on the threads. In order to finally get that to stop, I had to smear Permatex around the top of the threads, which is only a temporary solution until I purchase a better quality unit and get this junk off my truck.

Leaked at gasket because the gasket surface wasn't true. Had to drain the system, remove the housing and file the mating surface till true. Not a big deal if you check the surface and true it up BEFORE installation. I'd buy again But next time I'd put a file to it to true it up before installation. Another step to perfect trueness is to double stick tape a sheet of sandpaper to a table saw top and run the gasket mating surface over the paper till surface is true.
