I used this on a first gen Cummins (91’). I bought this , the gasket and the thermostat (gates) all second gen to retrofit. Runs great for what I needed it for, I ran a light bead of grey rtv around the oring as it wasn’t a snug fit, the cardboard gasket to hold in place and the housing itself. No leaks, thermostat is allowing cool water to pass.

The seal mating surface is machined to deep and the inside diameter is machined to big so it doesn't seal. Garbage.

I received the housing but had a crack I had to weld back together before I could use it. It was aluminum not steel

Comes with a fiberboard gasket, which is in no way even close of what is needed. Actually, this housing doesn't even use a fiber gasket, so don't let it be deceiving!Part is very lightweight, lined up with the mounting holes, hopefully it lasts.
