This item worked great, I did not replace the short metal tube, but used everything else, it was awesome.

The materials used for this kit are garbage and the fit is loose on the drain fitting into the block with the o-ring. You can spin it around like a ball joint and just feel the o-ring catching and sealing. Silicone can't be used with oil unless is chemically treated for it else it will sweat oil which this kit does, because you're not getting a quality part for this price. The OEM Cummins drain fitting and o-ring are a press fit into the block with no play using a 24mm socket. It's solid and sealed, you can feel it. The drain hose doesn't sweat because it's been treated for oil use. The drain tube starts rusting and is sensitive to light corrosion, for reference I live in the piedmont region of North Carolina, we don't rust here, people buy cars out of the south because they don't rust. Again cheap materials for a cheap product the tube wasn't coated and thus it suffers exposure. OEM Cummins tube no rust after 18 years, quality treated steel.How hard is it to copy an OEM part to do what it does? You get what you pay for. I'm not one to put OEM above everything as I use and trust many aftermarket brands for my 03 Cummins but this was an eye opener especially with something so simple as a silicone hose and metal tube.
