Tightened clamp welds broke before clamp wad tight. Clamp was correct size but could not tighten

Needed a new clamp when replacing the exhaust on a 2008 Ram 2500 with 6.7 Cummins. This fit perfect. Would buy again if ever the need.

Bolt stripped out while tightening. Oem clamp has hard stainless bolt,this has a soft steel bolt

Purchased 2 of these on separate occasions. First one broke welds on the bolt clip rendering it useless. I purchased another one to replace it and the bolt broke in half before I could even get it installed.

Purchased this clamp instead of the OEM because it was available next day on a work truck that was down without it. The clamp would not torque to the specified 17 ft lbs and ended up breaking during the test drive. The OEM was $15 more and came a few days later. They look very similar even the spot welds that failed but the OEM T bolt is stainless steel. Makes me think it was probably a bad piece that I received.

Fits 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7 downpipe as intended. The V inside the actual clamp was a little twisted, but once you get it on the flanges, impact fixes it pretty quick.

Its a clamp.....it does what clamps do.....it clamped......arrived quickly, faster than stated, in a box, bubble wrapped in a larger box. Its shiny and has one nut..so you can make it clamp things together...if your using this for a Cummins exhaust as advertised, safety wire it, if you don't know what that is Google it and you will never need to buy another one like I did.
