Used this trailing arm to replace an existing one that had a bad bushing, the price of this full new trailing arm was only about $10 more than the bushing alone, not accounting for the time and equipment needed to replace the bushing. Part was a perfect match for the 2009 malibu it was installed on. I would recommend watching some videos on how to remove and install. In our instance it there were 7 bolts on the existing arm that needed to be removed and lower bolt on the shock absorber to get access to 2 of them. In our case as this was an older car there were also some very rusty bolts and stripped out captive nuts that turned this from a simple swap to pulling the rear seat and cutting through the floor of the car. That could have possibly been avoided with ample penetrating oil which i would highly recommend if you are working on an older car. Easy swap if things go well just be ready in case they don't, no complaints about the part though. Also make sure the suspension is under weight when fully tightening down the bushing bolt, if it's done while the car is lifted and loose it can cause premature wear on the bushing.

My car sounded like a big cricket, driving over smallest bumps was so annoying and embarrassing, trying to figure out what was the issue then figured out it was my trailing arms and did it and it’s gone now!!! No more squeaking noise.

If you have a knocking sound that seems like someone is trying to escape from the trunk while going over bumps, or just driving down the freeway, this will probably fix it!Restored the silent ride from when the car was brand new.
