It really works. The error is gone, of course, putting it is not very convenient, but still it was worth it.

Direct and complete replacement canister with all valves and hoses. The repair shop wanted $1100 plus a $120 diagnostic fee. Replaced this in under and hour and saved $1k.

Here's the skinny: I went so far as to enter my VIN at a Toyota parts site to verify this part was the correct one. It was not. Is it the right one for you? Climb under your car and look at it. See that long, skinny hose sticking out? That's the difference. See if yours has that. If not, then this isn't the right one. The correct part number would be 911-617. Take a look at that one and see if that looks more like the one in your application. That aside, the part came quickly and was packaged well. No doubt it would have worked if it was the right part.

Fit perfectly. Solved my Camry's problem that was making the gas pump turn off continuously when I was filling up my car. I also had the 441, 450 and 446 codes that indicated that mine was bad. Tips: 1. Back the car up onto a pair of ramps, and set the parking brake and keep the car in gear or in Park. 2. Spray WD-40 on the rear muffler hanger and removed the hanger from the muffler with a pair of channel-lock pliers. 3. Remove the two bolts that hold the rear muffler hanger, and rest the muffler and pipe on a milk crate. 4. Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the old unit. Disconnect only the required hoses from the old unit. Watch the YouTube video on how to removed the largest hose that goes to the tank. It is a pain to disconnect. Remove the units with the one bolt on each end. The bolt on the end with the hoses is hard to see. You'll need a headlamp and some good lighting. WEAR SOME GOGGLES, or you'll get a lot of rust and dirt in your eyes. 5. Patiently slide the old unit out. It will fit. Take your time. 6. NO NOT CONNECT the hoses to the new unit until after you have bolted the new unit in place. If you do, it will be nearly impossible to see the bolt that you need to install. 6. Reset the codes using one of the $15 testers that you can buy on Amazon. I find that the wired units work way better than the bluetooth or wifi units. Never be too busy making a living, that you forget to make a life. Enjoy!

Product is defective; however by the time I had the car taken back in for the same problem (check engine light on) and rediagnosed, It's tempting to buy an aftermarket part when the factory party is three times the cost but in this case a mistake. I found out original new unit I bought just one month earlier was not holding vacuum. At this point it was one day over a month old and Amazon will not let you return items after 30 days. Frustrating as this unit is new and should be returnable. Cannot find any clear-cut way to return or get refund. Dorman used to stand for quality aftermarket parts but this is obviously not the case any longer. Lesson learned, will never buy from this vendor again.
