My car is not running well and the check engine light stays on. Took it to my mechanic and he told me that this part has electrical damage and is not functioning properly. I spent a lot of money for this canister, only to discover that it is defective. This created a frustrating and expensive situation that I will have to fix—and pay for—again.

It works great. I would suggest that if you don’t have a 4 post lift to get assistance if you plan to do the repair on a 01 Celica. You have to remove part of the exhaust and a heat shield near the gas tank underneath. It took me about an hour and a half with a 4 post lift with manual tools to replace.
