Dorman makes bad parts. I ordered a Dorman lower control arm that works. The emissions vapor canister does not work. After I installed the emissions canister, the canister failed. I discovered that the Dorman canister possessed a leak in the emissions check valve. I don't recommend the Dorman vapor canister unless you enjoy installing vapor canisters on your Subaru. If you enjoy installing vapor canisters, perhaps this canister is designed for you. Keep in mind that installing the Dorman canister cannot disable to check engine light in your vehicle. I don't know why Dorman makes defective vapor canisters. Are the canisters third rate rejects from the OEM factory? I believe the canister represents rejected canisters from the factory. The car make's company uses parts as the OEM manufacturer for vapor canister. If you like to use your car with a durable canister, you might use a canister from the dealership. I feel satisfied that the vendor took my return for the vapor canister. Dorman offers a one year warranty for the vapor canister. I don't know why someone would purchase Dorman products.Edit: amazon requested me to remove the make's name and the OEM manufacturer name. I hope people observing the review. People should know the canister offers bad quality.

I liked the cheap price, So I bought it and installed it on my 2007 Subaru Forester check engine light came back on P0442. I performed a smoke test on the vehicle and it was leaking out of the vent. So I thought it was defective part so I ordered a replacement and same thing problem as with the first one. So I had to spend the $350 on one from NAPA and it worked.
