I had to put a washer and a nut to take up slack on underhood side latch, also rubber grommet that goes thru firewall was backwards, WD-40 to get it off and install correctly , I missed this making me install it backwards and having to pull it thru twice. If you have slack and shut the hood make sure the length is correct, or you will be using plyers and have to shim as I did. A little smaller O.D on diameter than OEM, so I lightened the spring on my catch to ease the tension on this cable to make it last.

It took me a while to get the old part out and install new part. I had to loosen some parts near the emergency brake in order to pull and install new cable. Other than that Iā€™m pleased with the part!!Will

The cable is not a tight as the OE one was but it does the job. Next time I would just pony up the extra money and buy the OE one.
