It worked great for my 2007 Camry. It's been a week so far, and all is still well. Great deal!

Fit it in nicely and easily, the whole job took me like 15 minutes. The only problem was a bit too long to my 2007 Camry, but I just tuck the access to behind the back seat and hopefully this cable will last a long time. So far so good without any issue from opening the boot from the latch at the front :)

I had my trunk release stop working one day. I told my brother about it. He's really great at fixing things for me. I didn't expect he'd be able to fix this. He watched a YouTube video and said he could fix it. So I ordered this and sure enough he fixed it all within 30-45 minutes. I couldn't have been happier. I know Toyota would have charged hundreds of dollars to replace this.

It could fit, it was difficult to install because it was a little too long. The lenght caused a problem becaues there was not enough force to run ir and lid was hard to open. The cable was modified and it works fine.

Replacement went smoothly. Should have worked some teflon lube into inner cable before installing it for smoother ease of pull but works fine. Start from trunk. Remove trunk lid liner ... (don't need a tool.... slot driver will do). Disconnect cable from mechanism .... then free from trunk lid. I overlap the new end with the old by about 3 or more inches. NOTE: ends are different! You don't want to fish it thru twice! A generous 6 or 8 inches of duct tape tightly wrapped made them one. Have to remove the plastic pull by drivers seat where it likely broke. I removed the rear seat drivers side kick panel and peeled back the carpet. Some Camry's have the gas release cable also tied up with the trunk.... you have to cut the two ties if so. Had to push back the seat back trim. Pulled it thru in stages... first into cabin from trunk with a helper to twist it when it starts to snag. Lastly up to drivers seat opening... had to peel up floor well soundproofing and push rear carpet aside... again two people made pulling it smoother. Cut off tape carefully when done. Total job was about an hour or so. Saved $2-300 for part and job. Hope this helps.

I hate rating something so early, when only time tells, but I'll change it if anything else changes. But it works as it's supposed to. Even installed myself, but I wouldn't recommend everyone try to do the same. I took a risk, since my car is old and it worked. Don't follow the videos on YouTube if it involves removing things. I taped one end to the old one and pulled it through, but trust me when I saw it still wasn't as easy as that sounds.

I am happy with this Latch release cable. It was fairly easy to install in my 2010 Camry and it was far less expensive than the OEM Toyota cable. It is the correct length and attaches correctly to the driver side pull lever and trunk latch release mechanism. I'll have to see how it holds up over time as compared to the original cable.
